competitors advertising

Nike footwear have gone down the route of graffiti and the whole urban underground culture for the advertising of their skateboarding range Nike SB. This would work well in making Kickers cool again....

Some cool trainers worn by some cool people, these trainers are all totally out there and are more like pieces of art work rather than something to keep your feet warm and dry!x

Lego Mania

As a follow on from Chandni's post the other day, we came across these images when researching as a group today... it just goes to show Kickers definitely chose a very up-to-date brand to collaborate with. Maybe Kickers could translate the Lego idea into a style aimed at an older consumer?

Kickers Fancy Footwork

Preparing to take part in the summer festivities, Kickers joined forces with american funk masters Chromeo using their underground dance floor hit Fancy Footwork to create a short animation. The trailer is quirky and playful and synonomous with the brand... what a great marketing tool!

LEGO's Kiddy Kickers

Classic children's brands, Kickers and LEGO have joined forces to create the ultimate children's shoe. The Kick Hi, retro boot (originally a famous style of the 80's) has been given a fresh makeover for parents looking for fun and playful shoes for their children, made by brands they can trust. The premium collection features, high quality Kick Hi boots which are durable, flexible and have a vibrant style, to compliment LEGO's fun attitude. The bold colours and LEGO brick are designed to inspire and capture children everywhere. The combination of these iconic designs from both brands strengthens the desirability of the product to retro Kickers and LEGO fans.

This partnership in iconic design, not only has been true for footwear but has been visually captivating and coherent throughout their marketing and advertising for this collection.

In support of the Kickers collaboration with LEGO, Design 4 Retail created 250 shoe risers and 50 floor store standing units, using LEGO. As you can see above, they were designed to make an impact in-store, offering a vibrant focal point to communicate the fun and loving personalities of the two brands.

In particular, this Kickers collaboration is the most innovative and creative. Teaming up with LEGO was a clever strategy by establishing a unique point of difference in the children's footwear market, has provideded a competitive edge. Kickers and LEGO are a
match made in heaven, fulfilling their potential and much more. Just look at the child below in his red, funky Kickers and LEGO lace ups... he couldn't be happier!
